Punjab Solar Panel Scheme Phase 2: Registration & Benefits

The Government of Punjab has officially announced the launch of the Solar Panel Scheme Phase 2, scheduled to begin in October 2025. This program aims to extend benefits to more households by providing complete solar systems to eligible families. The initiative reflects a commitment to environmental sustainability and economic relief.

The Punjab Solar Panel Scheme is designed to reduce electricity bills and promote clean energy usage. Phase 2 targets poor and middle-income families struggling with high costs and frequent power cuts. By generating electricity through solar power, citizens can achieve energy independence and contribute to a cleaner environment.

Eligibility criteria for Phase 2 include monthly electricity usage below 200 units, load capacity up to 2 kW, valid CNIC, clean payment record, and income verification for priority consideration. The registration process will start in October 2025, requiring valid documents such as CNIC, electricity bill, mobile number, and proof of residence.

The benefits of the scheme include lower power expenses, reliable energy supply, eco-friendly practices, long-term savings, and reduced environmental pollution. The government plans to expand the program to reach more families in rural and urban areas, focusing on inclusivity and sustainability.
